Troubleshooting
My Mac doesn't appear in the list
- Check that MacAssist is open on your Mac. Its icon appears in the menu bar.
- Check that both devices are on the same network.
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network, and turn on MacAssist.
- Some public and work networks keep devices from seeing each other. Try a home network.
Windows don't move, or emoji don't type
MacAssist for Mac needs Accessibility permission for these. Choose Allow Control from iPhone or iPad in the MacAssist menu, then turn on MacAssist in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. If the menu asks you to relaunch, do so to finish.
I want to pair again
On your iPhone or iPad, tap the More button at the top, then Forget This Mac. Your Mac appears in the list again, ready to pair.
